Kay Bailey Hutchison met Barbara Boxer on Late Edition. Boxer was well prepared on the issue of "experience", but Kay buried her when she proclaimed "Pit Bull" had shown such fiscal responsibility.
Blitzer was stunned, or awed... or it was just another talking point that went over his ill-prepared head. Who knows.
[On the other hand Carville really took out his opposition earlier with a laundry list that included many of the issues that need to be discussed...I'm talking bumper sticker specific]...

Kay went directly to the "Palin rebates for all Alaskans"...
We who have been following know that these rebates are coming from the WINDFALL THAT ALASKA IS RECEIVING FROM HIGH OIL PRICES. So, Alaskans are getting a windfall profit just like the Stockholders in Exxon, yada.
And just like the US BIG OIL, the profits are not being reinvested in infrastructure.
Sarah and Todd flew from TX to Wasilla to ensure that Trig would be born an Alaskan. That would entitle him with his dad and siblings a share in the Alaska Permanent Fund.
Palin is increasing the current 'payout' from $2000 to $3200 for Native born Alaskans. These native born Alaskans, plus those who meet certain residency requirements will receive a bonus of $1200. Do ya' think that this is why Palin is so popular.
Meantime, the Governor of Alaska has cut funds that support firefighters, police and first responders. Sarah used her line item veto to cut funding for other services. She also seems to be totally oblivious, having turned over decisions to the Military Head of the Alaska National Guard, that 'her' Guard has been nicknamed the "Ghost Guard" due to it being far short of its 'readiness level'.
We all should be familiar with her 'fiscal responsibility' record as Mayor. A small town that was debt free when she came to office and hired lobbyists to obtain 'earmarks', ended up in debt.

Her big push was for the sports complex which seems to be an expensive Albatross that she has now used State funding to support for lights and a kitchen.
Her big pipeline venture that she is touting is more like a 'pipe dream'. The deal is not firm. The best hope is that it could be completed in the distant future.
The DEMs need a 'Cheney-Rove' that issues the daily-weekly talking point sheet that NO ONE should upon threat of death vary from.
Palin and her gang will be out there with an AK-47 firing wildly from a helicopter...we need teams of Snipers.
